Story

Surely you remember who Rustles are? They live under your feet, eat apples, invent a time machine, and endlessly rustle in the leaves... yes, yes, yes! It's all about them. And they also have friends, for example, Otter with a human face, the same one who saved Little Rustle from the enraged time machine. This time everything is much more interesting.

One day, Otter came to Little Rustle’s house to talk about romance, but our hero was already waiting there, the cat Murka, who told the sad news... Little Rustle got sick! And to help her recover, you need to look for all kinds of potions so that Murka can brew a healing potion.

Thus begins a new adventure. You will meet old friends, as well as equally interesting new acquaintances. The game is a mixture of genres such as platformer and quest. This allows you, on the one hand, to quickly jump across platforms, fighting off a bunch of enemies, level up your character, explore the world, on the other hand, you have the opportunity to conduct dialogues and complete simple tasks.

Technical Features

This game is designed to run on the ZX Spectrum - a compatible ZX Evolution machine with the TS Conf add-on, and will also run on other hardware emulators for which the firmware of this wonderful platform is developed, as well as on the UnrealSpeccy emulator.

Minimal: ZXEvolution with TS-Config + AY8910

Recommended: ZXEvolution with TS-Config + TurboSound + General Sound + Full Kempston + VDAC (VDAC2)

Controls

Keyboard (redefine keys are supported), Kempston Joystick, Full Kempston Joystick. The game is designed to use a Sega Megadrive 1 joystick. Sega Mega Drive 1 gamepad

Default controls: Cursor Arrows + Z + X, or Full Kempston. In the options you can redefine them for yourself.

Z - jump, X - throw a star.

Navigate through the menu using the cursor arrows, activate menu items using the Z key. After redefining the keys, the keys you selected will also work in the menu.

Important: When redefining keys, pay special attention to the LEFT, RIGHT, FIRE and JUMP keys. You will actively use these keys. The UP and DOWN keys are only required when moving on stairs and are used extremely rarely.

Adviсes and Tips

A quick way to run up stairs: jump on any step and hold the keys up and towards where the stairs lead. The second way to climb stairs is to simply jump on the steps, which requires some skill.

Features of the game: you can only carry one item with you; if you take a second item, the first one is automatically thrown out of the bag. There are three bosses in the game, but you only really have to kill two of them. Poke into the walls more often, there is an opportunity to find a couple of secrets. If you see frogs, relax - everything is peaceful in this location. Text output can be accelerated with the FIRE button.

You can save game progress in the game: to do this, just go to little Rustle and talk to her. Try to do this more often, otherwise she will get bored. The saved result is only written to memory, so if you reset the game, you will have to start all over again.

Why is there only one life in the game? Because you can always save your progress and start from the save point.
